  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Administrator/Safety Coordinator for Muscat , Oman.


    The role will be resposnible for ensuring Quality Compliance in line with the adopted Quality Management System for the string of Element laboratories in Oman.


    • Develop, implement & continually improve QMS to meet customer & ISO / IEC 17025 requirements
    • Carry out related trainings to increase personnel awareness to quality and develop laboratory policies, goals and process improvements to meet IS requirements
    • Oversee operation conformance to ISO / IEC17025 and other accreditation standards while developing, implementing and maintaining calibration laboratory’s management and technical system based on ISO / IEC 17025 Standards
    • Provide technical expertise in the field of Metrology (calibration, MSA & uncertainty of measurements)
    • Determine compliance to ISO / IEC17025 standard through internal audit, direct / indirect materials suppliers and calibration service providers audit and verify effectiveness of identified action
    • Communicate quality incidents related to subcontracting process to reduce / eliminate recurrence and champion SHE excellence at a site level
    • Carry out  site visual inspection daily with a view to identifying, and bringing to the attention of senior staff, hazards or potential hazards
    • Manage and co-ordinate the site SHE plan under the management of the GM and report, investigate, and assist with the remediation of issues causing SHE incidents
    • Retain and manage SHE licences, permits and authorisations while tracking and reporting on actions arising from reviews, inspections, audits, near misses and maintain the filing system
    • Ensure that fire Precautions are established and maintained while ensuring the effectiveness of site emergency procedures through rehearsal and drills;
    • Manage SHE audits, reviews , inspections and track efficiently to ensure timely completion 
    • Ensure that the service and equipment providers are pre-qualified prior to use and see to it that the clients’ pre-qualification questionnaires are completed satisfactorily   
    • Manage the new staff inductions in accordance with Element Group and local regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of safe systems of work; risk assessment process; health and safety inspections; contribute to successful running of health and safety committee meetings

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Graduate Engineer with relevant experience in quality management system as an ISO / IEC 17025 auditor
    • Calibration experience based on ISO / IEC 17025 standard
