  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for an HRIS Coordinator to join its growing team in Mississauga.

     

    The primary function of the HRIS Coordinator is to implement and administer the ADP Workforce Now platform in Canada, including aligning benefits, corporate group structure and self-service transactional workflows with Element procedures. Additionally, this role will create internal workflow policies in conjunction with the Benefits and HRSC Coordinators, who will administer for their respective areas folliwng implementation.

     

    This role also serves as a key member of the HR Team in Canada, providing support to the HR Manager.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Provide first line support for all Canadian employees on benefits and ADP issues during implementation phase
    • Following implementation, provide backup support on benefits enquries
    • Working closely with the HRIS Manager and HR Manager, Canada to optimize usage of ADP Workforce Now Platform in Canada, including:
      • Roll out Employee and Manager Self Service to allow employees and managers to make transactional changes entirely online, including Benefits Enrollments, Pay changes, Reports To transfers, and Corporate Group updates
      • Build and administer the employee benefits plan setup, working closely with the Benefits Coordinator to develop an internal process that meets all Canadian legal requirements
      • Post-implementation, provide system support during Open Enrollment, invoicing and audits
      • Develop Leave of Absence methodology and tracking system to ensure information is recorded accurately in accordance with our practices
      • Transition administration of the process to the Benefits Coordinator and provide system support
      • Working with the HRSC Coordinator, integrate the offer letter, acceptance, background check, and new hire ADP setup with the existing US process
    • Update and maintain employee date in HRIS system including entering new hires, status changes, and processing terminations
    • Ensure all onboarding/offboarding documentation is submitted and processed accurately
    • Create complex reports for ad hoc reporting needs - i.e. vacation, overtime and other people metrics
    • Work closely with the HRIS Manger on monthly Turnover and Finance budget files
    • Provide backup support to Canada HR Manager, including new hire orientation and exit interviews
    • Upon final implantation of Canadian platform, expand role to administer the US platform as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    • 4+ years of progressive HR experience in an HRIS role, including implementations
    • HR Generalist experience and HR Support Center Environment strongly preferred
    • Certified Human Resources Professional or Leader Designation (CHRP/CHRL) is advantageous
    • Experience in a customer service or shared services environment with a strong sense of ownership to support the internal colleagues
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with ADP’s Workforce Now platform, including Benefits, Payroll and Time & Attendance 
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Access and Excel
    • Knowledge and understanding of multi-provincial Canadian labor legislation
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong consultation skills
    • Strong results oriented work ethic with a focused attention to detail and follow through to resolution
    • Ability to manage multiple inquiries and the ability to prioritize effectively
    • Discretion to deal with personal and confidential information with sensitivity and tact
    • Experienced focus on continuous improvement efforts by identifying efficiencies and new processes
    • Experience building successful relationships at all organizational levels
