  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician. The primary function is to perform concrete placement to support concrete anchor testing under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    • Build / assemble formwork for concrete placements
    • Casting concrete blocks of various sizes
    • Maintain database and inventory of concrete test blocks
    • Casting and testing compression tests of concrete cylinders
    • Concrete batching in the laboratory and subsequent plastic concrete tests
    • Maintain test equipment, tools and machinery, and promptly report any malfunctions compression tests of concrete cylinders
    • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Must have valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
    • Ability to operate a motor vehicle within Element company policies.
    • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand/power tools.
    • 1-2 years comparable experience preferred
    • Forklift experience preferred
    • Carpentry skills preferred
    • ACI Level I Concrete Technician preferred or the ability to obtain.
    • General construction or concrete finishing experience preferred
