  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. You will be performing a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate results under minimal supervision. 

    Responsibilities

    • Building of test fixtures, MIG welding, Drill Press, Lathe, Mill / Bridgeport, Layout and Grinding
    • Assembly and knowledge of vehicle suspension and their components
    • Setup of servo hydraulic actuators using MTS equipment
    • Test monitoring and test sample inspections
    • Recording test results- both written and photographic
    • Daily interaction with test engineer and customers, providing excellent customer service
    • Willingness to work off shifts and weekends

    Skills / Qualifications

    • 2 year degree from Community College or technical school; and or two years related experience and training or an equivalent combination of both
    • Mechanical background with a basic knowledge of automotive chassis, suspension repair, servo hydraulics and experience in metal fabricating and welding highly preferred
    • Previous customer service experience 
    • Proficient in MS Office
