Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Testing Technician to join our growing team. This role requires training and working under supervision of senior lab technicians / supervisor within the Dynamics lab. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a global TIC business.
Salary: $21- $30/hr DOE
· Interpretation of internal and client requirements
· Operating complex mechanical testing equipment
· Maintaining accurate and systematic records
· Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
· Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality systems, and Health & Safety requirements
· Application of instrumentation and setup of complex data capture equipment
· Report writing, data interpretation, and analysis
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· Sound mechanical aptitude
· Demonstrated, hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, is strictly required
· Previous experience in an appropriate engineering environment is a distinct advantage
· Experience working within a mechanical testing environment is advantageous
· Understanding of recognized Quality Management Systems such as ISO/IEC 17025 is beneficial
· Self-motivated technician with the ability to multitask, organize, and work under pressure in a busy commercial mechanical laboratory
