Overview

Element is currently looking to hire a HR Manager for our Toulouse facility.

 

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be in charge of supporting and ensuring the implementation of the human resources policy with managers and employees (80-100 employees spread over 2 sites).  This is a great time to join a leading player in the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector, making tomorrow safer than today...

 

Responsibilities

  • HR Operations/employee lifecycle - overseeing employee administration, contracts and amendments, onboarding and offboarding, absence management, skills and training management, HR systems and more generally ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day HR processes
  • Maintain the smooth HR & payroll operations in close collaboration our external provider 
  • Participate in the management of relations with the IORPs (CSE) in conjunction with the Management and ensure the maintenance of a good social climate 
  • Experience managing employee transfers in the context of business transfers, acquisitions, and reorganisations  
  • Experience of employment contract transfers under applicable labour laws 
  • Strong experience in workforce transitions, business transfers, and post-acquisition employee integration  
  • Experience managing employee consultations and employment transfers under Article L.1224-1 (France) and equivalent legislation 
  • Solid ER skill set including conflict management 
  • Strong Leadership impact across the labs 
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and actively guide managers and employees across all entities 
  • Collaborate with works councils and trade unions and conduct negotiations about new collective labour agreements including Legal and social agreement negotiations together with the General Manager 
  • Collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition team to ensure current recruitment and future resourcing needs are met 
  • Supporting the delivery of recruitment, onboarding and internal succession planning 
  • Deliver the cyclical in-country HR process / transactional activity and HR projects 
  • Drive engagement and wellbeing, reflecting our commitment to the health and happiness of our colleagues 
  • Regularly capture and analyze productivity data to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with teams to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, and cost control
  • Ensure accurate, timely reporting of productivity metrics to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting both challenges and successes 

Communication: 

  • Provide regular operational updates to General Manager, highlighting key performance indicators
  • Maintain open communication between departments, shifts, and teams, ensuring issues are addressed in real-time and progress is tracked
  • Collaborative working across functions including HR Leads

Skills / Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:  

  • A degree in Business, HR, Management or similar. Furthermore, you should have professional working experience, preferably in operational HR or a similar role, strong communication skills, and customer service orientation. Experience within Payroll is needed to fulfil this role 
  • Knowledge of HR administration processes is necessary, and you must have a problem-solving approach with a “can do” attitude 
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently and have proven stakeholder management skills, allowing you to deal with various people, locally and regionally 
  • Be self-motivated, people - and team-oriented. Furthermore, you are fluent in French and English, both oral and written 

 

Other Skills and Abilities:  

Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or another relevant field 

  • Strong employee relations background 
  • Knowledge of the French employment laws and regulations 
  • Well-versed in working with works council - France 
  • Used to work in global organisations in faster-paced environments 
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality 
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels
