Overview

We are hiring an EMC Test Engineer to support Military and Aerospace testing in our accredited EMC lab. This is a hands-on engineering role working within a team to deliver test services to high standards, with the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting defence and aerospace programmes.

 

Ideal for someone with practical EMC test experience who is developing their expertise and looking to grow within a supportive technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out EMC testing to Military and Aerospace standards.
  • Assist in preparing test setups and ensuring configurations are in line with test plans.
  • Record and document test data accurately.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving test issues.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal procedures and test setups.
     

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or related Engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience in EMC testing.
  • Practical experience in EMC testing (ideally DEF STAN 59-411, MIL-STD-461 or DO-160).
  • Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment and safety practices.
     

To be successful in your application for this role you will require:

  • The ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance (baseline or SC level).
  • Availability to work Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:00, and Friday: 08:30–15:45 (37.5 hours per week).
  • A willingness to learn and grow within a technical team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
