Element is seeking a highly motivated Energy Systems Testing Technologist to support product testing and evaluations in accordance with recognized standards and internal procedures. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, including test setup, data acquisition, analysis, and technical report writing.
Salary: $27- $34/hr DOE
• Setup and conduct testing of Heat and Energy Recovery Ventilators (H/ERVs) to standardized test methods under the direction of the Technical Manager
• Operate and maintain environmental chambers and related test equipment
• Prepare test samples, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
• Analyze test data and document results accurately
• Interpret and apply relevant test standards, specifications, and procedures
• Prepare technical test reports in accordance with applicable standards
• Participate in client communications and assist with project coordination
• Purchase materials and support laboratory inventory management
• Maintain equipment condition, calibration, and functionality
• Follow Element’s safety procedures, including proper material handling
• Completion of a college or university program in Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret customer technical specifications and test standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with C++, BASIC, Python and LabVIEW is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Hands-on experience with common power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
