This position is intended to support workforce replacement and reinforcement at the Giheung Laboratory.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Pesticides Team Leader, Ms. Soohyun Park, and will be responsible for the commercial operation of laboratory testing activities, including residue pesticides, veterinary drug residues, national R&D projects, and the establishment of new analytical test items.
Currently, the Element Giheung Laboratory is engaged in a wide range of businesses and government-funded projects related to pesticide residue analysis. As government-funded projects are expected to account for approximately 50% of our core business in 2026, this is a critical area, and personnel replacement is essential.
This position is open only to candidates who meet the technical personnel requirements stipulated by relevant specification and testing/accreditation standards. In addition, only candidates who satisfy the qualification criteria recognized by the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service (NAQS) are eligible; therefore, internal transfers or redeployment of existing employees are not possible. Please refer to the details below for the specific qualification requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform analytical testing for pesticide residues in accordance with approved methods and regulatory requirements
Support testing activities related to pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, and government-funded projects
Participate in the development, validation, and implementation of new analytical test items
Manage personnel qualification requirements and support the acquisition and maintenance of company licenses and accreditations
Perform general Quality Management System (QMS) activities in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025
Ensure compliance with company quality and technical management procedures and policies
Manage analytical testing activities in the environmental, food, and agricultural sectors
Act as a mid-level technical supervisor within the testing team
Ensure compliance with applicable test standards, methods, and protocols
Oversee daily laboratory operations and test management activities
Maintain laboratory facilities, equipment, and environmental conditions
Manage and maintain analytical instruments and related equipment
Ensure the validity, accuracy, and precision of test results
Control and maintain test-related documentation and records
Manage test result retention, confidentiality, and data security
Perform general laboratory and analytical testing duties as required
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related analytical field
As a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Entry-level candidates or candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
Experience in the analysis of persistent organic pollutants (POPs)
Operation of HPLC and MS / MS-MS systems
Operation of GC and MS / MS-MS systems
Operation of ICP or related analytical instruments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven presentation and reporting skills
Basic communication in English will be preferred
