Overview

About the Role:

Element is seeking an AI Solutions Specialist with a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and hands-on experience designing and delivering AI solutions. This role requires a solid understanding of programming practices, data platforms, and cloud technologies to build scalable and efficient AI systems that drive meaningful business value.


You will be a results-oriented specialist responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimising intelligent automation and AI solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. The role combines expertise in automation platforms and intelligent workflow design with practical AI and ML experience to streamline operations and support continuous improvement across the organisation.

 

Overall Duties and Responsibilities:

Working closely with Element’s laboratories, you will be part of the Solutions & Insights team, contributing to the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions—from opportunity identification through to deployment and optimisation. You will translate ideas into outcomes, support responsible AI adoption, and help deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities beyond the initial business request by engaging with technical teams and stakeholders to understand laboratory processes and challenges.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable outcomes and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with Solution Analysts, Engineers, and Architects to design AI solutions that deliver tangible business value.
• Design and implement AI capabilities using Machine Learning, NLP, GenAI, Agentic approaches, Document Intelligence, and Advanced Analytics.
• Build and deploy AI solutions using platforms such as Databricks, Dataiku, UiPath, and Azure or similar.
• Support the production deployment of AI solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance.
• Communicate progress and outcomes clearly to stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging AI tools and techniques to continuously improve solution delivery.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are followed.
• Visit laboratories as required to gather requirements and conduct discovery sessions.
• Monitor and optimise AI solutions in production to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Contribute to best practices in model design, architecture, optimisation, and security.

Skills / Qualifications

 

• Strong technical foundation in AI and a proven track record of delivering impactful AI solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI solutions in a business environment.
• Working knowledge of Databricks and Azure tools.
• Experience with Machine Learning, GenAI, and Advanced Analytics.
• Strong business mindset with the ability to understand the broader context.
• Knowledge of Dataiku is desirable.
