Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. The primary function of the Building Products Testing Technician is to perform testing on anchor bolts in concrete and all associated tasks related to quality and safety requirements under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor.

 

Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

• Install anchor bolts per manufacturers published instructions.
• Use power tools and hand tools associated with installing concrete anchors and fixing wood or aluminum form work, as well as general testing laboratory work.
• Understand and perform testing in accordance with applicable test standards associated with concrete anchors.
• Input raw data into Microsoft Excel or other data analysis software.
• Maintain established productions rates for performing anchor testing.
• Work independently when given instructions.
• Assist with equipment & materials inventory.
• Assist with assembling and pouring concrete slabs.
• Maintain test equipment, tools and machinery, and promptly report any malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment.

Skills / Qualifications

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must have valid Driver’s License, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.

 

Physical Demands
• Frequency of required physical force: Often
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50lbs often and >50lbs lbs. periodically.
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors.

 

Other Skills and Abilities
• 2-5 years’ relatable experience is preferred.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle within Element company policies. A valid driver's license is required.
• Good mathematical knowledge required.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand/power tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel)
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs.
