Overview

Element is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support our Aerospace & Energy Americas Business Unit. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the Material Testing West Division, you will drive the people agenda aligned to business priorities, partnering across Talent Acquisition, Reward, and Talent Management to deliver scalable HR solutions.

 

This role blends hands-on execution with strategic leaderships, shaping decisions that impact performance, customer delivery, and workforce capability. You will help build a culture of trust, accountability, and internal mobility to ensure the organization is positioned for sustained success.

 

The role to be based in Huntington Beach, CA location.

 

Salary: $135,000- $160,000 (plus bonus)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the VP, General Managers and their management team, to shape talent strategies that drive business performance and engagement
  • Design and lead progressive programs that strengthen leadership capability, talent development, succession, and performance differentiation
  • Coach leaders to develop, retain, and progress top talent while addressing underperformance with accountability
  • Lead workforce planning, organizational design and act as a change agent—planning and deploying effective change management, communication, and training strategies to support business transformation
  • Leverage people analytics and workforce data to identify risks and opportunities, inform leadership decisions, and translate insights into targeted, measurable actions
  • Apply labor law expertise and sound judgment to resolve complex employee relations matters, partnering with leaders and legal counsel to balance compliance, risk, and employee experience
  • Partner with leaders to embed DE&I and engagement strategies into the business, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing culture
  • Collaborate across HR functions to deliver integrated, scalable people solutions, continuously improving processes and programs to support growth and operational excellence

Skills / Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner, partnering with senior leaders in complex, multi-site environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related field
  • Proven ability to design and execute people and workforce strategies aligned to business priorities and organizational growth.
  • Strong communicator with executive presence, able to influence and engage effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized, analytical, and solutions-oriented, with the agility to prioritize, problem-solve, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Data and systems proficiency, including advanced use of HR systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
