The Etch Technician will be qualified to set up, operate and maintain equipment, to perform etch and to interpret, evaluate and document the results in accordance with procedures approved by a Level III. An Etch Technician shall also be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents utilized at Element. An Etch Technician shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations for the technique/method to which certified. In this role the Etch Technician will be responsible for providing reliable results while paying close attention to safety and project timelines.
Salary: $20- $25/hr DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establishing daily etch rates using the weight loss method.
• Masking Parts
• Racking Parts
• General knowledge of all chemical processes performed at EMT
• Tank Maintenance / Make up.
• Ability to accurately analyze and interpret test data with the ability to report the test results in a clear and well written manner
• Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working condition
• Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not supervise staff; reports to a department supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
• High school graduate
• Etching metal plating experience a plus
• Technician must successfully pass certification exam within the first (6) months in his/her position, as required by NADCAP checklist.
• Familiar with industry codes and standards a plus, but willing to train.
