Element is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Report Writer Manager to lead a a report writing team nationally to create clear, concise, and accurate documentation and reports based on technical information. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, other subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate test data into reader-friendly, professional reports for both internal and external customers. You will also manage 6-9 direct reports across the group.
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000/yr DOE
Manage a team to:
• Edit, format technical reports, manuals, specifications, white papers, and other technical documentation.
• Ensure documents comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, operations, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness of documents.
• Use tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and/or automation software for document creation and management.
• Review and revise documents as needed based on stakeholder feedback.
• Maintain version control and documentation archives.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary technical documentation.
Required:
• 6+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation, preferably in a technical, engineering, or scientific environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with data visualization and basic statistical reporting.
• Experience in report writing in compliance testing industry
