Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Customer Service Administrator, who will primarily be responsible for receiving jobs from clients and entering them into the laboratory system, ensuring timely submission of materials into the testing areas, speaking with clients to provide updates or resolve issues, and entering results once testing is complete.

 

The ideal candidate will be customer focused, action oriented, approachable and able to thrive within a dynamic work environment. This role will require Saturday and Sunday working and may eventually move over to a Tuesday to Saturday, or Wednesday to Sunday schedule.

 

Salary: $21- $25/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

  • Enter new jobs into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Ensure that jobs are provided to the testing departments correctly and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing.
  • Assist customers both face-to-face and via email and telephone.
  • Receive results from the testing departments and enter them into the LIMS system.
  • Ensure compliance with all Element Materials Technology policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, trade compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment and corporate governance.

Work Environment:

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • 3-years of customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer testing specifications
  • Proactive attitude, who is able to manage own workload but enjoys working as part of a small team
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to re-prioritize based on changing needs of the customer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel) as well as general computer literacy is a must
  • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs with strong interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect
