This Quality Engineer will provide oversight for the performance of quality at the Element lab contained within the Rolls Royce facility in Indianapolis, IN. This role will maintain the Element Quality Management System (eQMS), NADCAP accreditation, customer approvals (as applicable), improve first time right (FTR) performance, maintain and develop relationships with the Rolls Royce customer. They will work closely with the Quality Manager at Element Daleville to ensure that Element quality policy, processes and procedures are effectively implemented and maintained. They will also support quality improvement activities, working closely with operational colleagues and the wider Element quality community.
This role must be filled by a USA Citizen.
Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 yr DOE
Contribute to the delivery of Element’s vision, strategy and objectives
● Support the Quality Manager and General Manager to maintain all accreditations (e.g. Nadcap), customer approvals and all other regulatory requirements, using the controls in place to govern all processes performed
● Support in the execution of the internal audit program
● Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) is understood and followed by all with support and training provided by the quality function.
● Establish mechanisms to monitor if processes are delivering their intended outputs in compliance with all legal frameworks, corporate policies and procedures, accreditations, regulations and other commitments and resolve any non-conformances in a timely manner
● Oversee corrective action performance to ensure the effectiveness of root cause resolution, corrective and preventive action implementation
● Provide training in the Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS), for all available modules
● Analyse, manage and report on key quality performance metrics on a monthly basis (or as required)
● Manage calibration, maintenance and equipment servicing schedules
● Demonstrate leadership and commitment with regard to Quality and Quality Management, recognizing that quality is our license to operate
● Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, forms, etc., providing coaching and mentoring
to colleagues to ensure their effective implementation
● Prioritize activities to meet the needs of the business, colleagues and customers
● Promote a culture of quality assurance and quality improvement in all parts of the business where you have an influence

● Knowledge and experience in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry/ materials testing or
a related environment (e.g. manufacturing)
● Degree educated, preferably in a scientific or engineering discipline, in a relevant discipline (or equivalent) and with 2 years’ experience in a relevant position (e.g. TIC industry or manufacturing, quality systems
experience)
● Experience working within a relevant accredited facility is a prerequisite (ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17025, Nadcap, cGMP, as applicable)
● Proficient in leading cross-functional and dynamic quality investigations, driving robust 8D root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions and ensuring the effectiveness of actions undertaken
● Auditing experience, ideally Lead Auditor qualified
● Ability to develop systems, write procedures, work instructions, develop forms and implement
● Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities
● Strong project management skills and ability to manage teams to achieve timelines/goals
● Current knowledge of QMS with the ability to implement customer-specific requirements, national and international standards and specifications
● Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams
● Self-motivated with an ability to motivate others and provide strong quality leadership
● Proficiency in computer skills using Windows applications e.g. Word, Excel (data analysis, Pareto, charts, etc.), PowerPoint
• Experience with statistical tools and software (e.g., Minitab, SPC, Gage R&R)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Competence in using quality management software (e.g., Fiix, TrueChem, or equivalent)
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
