Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Trainee / NDT Technician to join our team at our Dudley facility. This role involves performing dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspections within our plant to support production quality and compliance. We welcome applications from both experienced technicians and those looking to start a career in NDT with full training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT inspections (dye penetrant and MPI) on-site at the Dudley plant.
  • Accurately record, analyse, and report results in line with procedures and standards
  • Support production and quality teams with clear feedback on inspection outcomes
  • Maintain inspection equipment, tools, and records in good working order
  • Follow health & safety protocols and promote safe working practices
  • Participate in training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Carry out other duties as required by the business.

Skills / Qualifications

  •  For qualified candidates: Minimum 2 years’ experience in dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection.
  •  For trainees: An interest in engineering/manufacturing with a willingness to learn NDT techniques (full training     provided).Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting

  •  Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills.

  •  Commitment to safe working practices and high-quality standards.
