Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Hydraulics /Pneumatics Test Technician to join our team. As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for building and conducting unique testing on a variety of products, primarily for Aerospace and Military use. Whether it involves intentionally trying to burst hydraulic lines and valves, simulating an aircraft engine fire, or simulating extreme environmental conditions like wind, rain, temperature, and ice, there is a tremendous variety in the work performed at our lab.

Salary: $25-$36/hr

 

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and building unique hydraulic and mechanical operating systems
• Executing specialized tests on a wide range of mechanical hardware
• Creating and logging data captured on custom data acquisition systems
• Operating a variety of test equipment including pumps, motors, robot, and more
• Engaging with other lab personnel to define and implement lab improvements
• Maintaining the test facilities equipment
• Working both independently and as part of a team

Skills / Qualifications

Skills and qualifications:


• Fabrication, automotive, machining or other mechanical skills that will translate in unique ways to testing
• Capability to work with a variety of tools and equipment
• Experience with sensors or basic electrical devices

 

Additional skills or experience that fits well with this role:


• Automotive mechanic experience
• Welding and Metal Fabrication
• Hands-on engineer
• Instrumentation experience
• Experience in a testing related field
• Associate degree in related testing or mechanical field preferred such as: Fluid Power, electronics, automation, process controls, or robotics
