Overview

Element is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Technician to prepare, package, and ship aerospace components and materials in compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in ensuring quality, traceability, and on-time delivery to aerospace and defense customers.

 

Salary: $21- $23/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package aerospace parts and materials for domestic and international shipment according to customer specifications, aerospace standards, and company procedures.

  • Review customer purchase orders and shipping documentation to confirm packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements (e.g., C of C, test reports, traceability).

  • Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and commercial invoices using ERP and carrier systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).

  • Verify part counts, serial numbers, and documentation before final packaging and shipment.

  • Use proper materials to ensure parts are protected from contamination, damage, or corrosion (e.g., cleanroom bagging, desiccant, VCI, anti-static wrap).

  • Coordinate with production, quality, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate shipments.

  • Load and unload trucks; manage incoming and outgoing shipments and update inventory records as required.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area in accordance with 5S and safety practices.

  • Support cycle counts and shipping audits when needed.

Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1+ year of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience (preferably in aerospace or manufacturing).

  • Familiarity with aerospace packaging standards, ITAR compliance, and documentation requirements a plus.

  • Experience using ERP systems and commercial shipping software.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jacks or forklifts (certification a plus).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
