  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative (CSR), primarily responsible for handling straightforward price and requests for quotes (RFQ's) from our customers via email or over the phone and following up on pending or issued quotations. Must have a four year BS degree in either an Engineering field or Business Admin/Marketing. Experience in the automotive industry a plus.

     

    The Customer Service Representative may also be involved in identifying new sales opportunities through proactive questioning to ensure maximum share of customers' testing business. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, action oriented, approachable and patient. 

     

    Other potential tasks include proactive follow up on leads to convert quotations into orders, identify technical requirements and generate simple quotes, if needed. The CSR must be able to articulate Element testing to both business and technical users. It is a responsibility to assure customer satisfaction. In addition to client relations, this role will interact with the Inside Sales Manager, Element Sales Team, General Manager, and lab personnel.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain a working knowledge of T&I’s service offerings
    • Actively utilize Dynamics CRM to log and track performance to monthly goals for total calls, decision maker conversations, RFQs, appointments, campaign activities, etc.
    • Ensure accurate contact details,remove duplicate records, and add new information to CRM contact records
    • Efficiently distribute new RFQs, customer feedback, and campaign activities to the appropriate stakeholders when necessary
    • Raise awareness of Element’s services by contacting targeted prospect companies for the purposes of cross selling or marketing campaign follow up
    • Maintain ongoing relationships with the sales team and business unit heads
    • Additional sales responsibilities such as quote follow up, pipeline management, simple quote generation as required
    • Potentially prepare straightforward price and request for quotes (RFQ) per customer/market expectations; consulting with technical experts, and other technical staff within Element as needed
    • Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers, acting as a liaison between the customers and Element
    • Proactively develops contacts and services customers using phone, email, web conferencing
    • Achieves goals by converting and generation of quotes
    • When applicable handles requests for information (e.g., shipping/delivery dates)

    Skills / Qualifications

    • 3 years of customer service experience with quoting experience strongly preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer quotes / contracts, marketing materials, and customer testing specifications
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and proportions and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
    • Must have a four year BS degree in either an Engineering field or Business Admin/Marketing
    • Experience in the automotive industry a plus.
