Element is looking for a Building Systems Test Technician to conduct various building envelope performance evaluations to well defined standards and/or operating procedures. This position involves sample preparation, general construction, physical testing, equipment maintenance and client interaction.
• Coordinates testing of medium of large-scale building envelope test assemblies.
• Supports construction / fabrication of building envelope assemblies.
• Knowledge of test requirements as per relevant standards and specifications.
• Evaluates building envelope assemblies in accordance with recognized standards
• Involvement in sample preparation, test setup, data collection & analysis and report preparation
• Participates in client correspondence and project coordination.
• Coordinates material procurement and maintains equipment
• Maintains equipment calibrations
• 2-year college technology program or trades experience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of engineering concepts and mechanically inclined.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency (MS Office)
• Conducts safe material handling per Element guidelines.
• Experience with forklift and crane operation.
• Experience with common construction power tools.
