Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Compliance Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in Columbia, MD. Element Maryland is an authorized Test Facility for 4G/Long Term Evolution (LTE), which complimented its service range at the time. As a member of the operations team, the Compliance Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. 

 

This is a non-exempt position.

The salary range for this position is $29 - $53 p/hour. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Test Tool Proficiency: Experience with Test equipment and logging tool like R&S, Anritsu, Keysight, QXDM and  Wireshark
  • 4G/5G Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with protocols like RRM, RRC, RLC, MAC, RANAP, S1AP, NAS, and relevant 3GPP standards
  • Network Protocols: Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, and other network protocols 
  • Debugging and Analysis: Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues 
  • Testing Methodologies: Understanding of functional, performance, and security testing 

Skills / Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Electronics/Communication/Computer Science Engineering is expected
  • Cellular Testing: Experience in 4G/5G cellular lab testing,
  • Log Analysis: Ability to analyze cellular logs for troubleshooting and debugging
  • Troubleshooting: Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in Lab
  • Data/Voice/VoIP Testing: Experience with testing data, voice calls, and VoIP
  • Specific Technologies: Familiarity with NR NSA/SA protocols, LTE/IMS protocols, and carrier-defined test plans such as Verizon, T-Mobile
