Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Fibre Optics Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. 

 

This role is based in Singapore. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test fibre-optics geotechnical instrumentation systems, including deployment, calibration, and verification.
  • Oversee project operations, including planning, scheduling, scope management, and budgeting for fibre-optics initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to systems after commissioning and troubleshoot issues related to optical nodes and instruments.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to define project requirements, responsibilities, and restrictions.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in geotechnical instrumentation with fibre-optics.
  • Strong knowledge of fibre-optic technologies and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical instrumentation works and emerging technologies in the field
