Element is currently seeking a Full-Time Test Technician for their Materials & Analytical Lab in Warren, Ohio.

The Test Technician will be responsible for performing various tests on automotive components and operating lab-scale plastic processing equipment and material evaluations using benchtop thermal analysis equipment.
Test Technician - Materials & Analytical Lab Responsibilities:
• Perform root cause analysis on failed test samples and components returned from field failures including warranty, prototypes, etc.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Operate plastic injection mold machine and twin screw extruder.
• Coordinate outside services: calibrations, maintenance, etc.
• Acquire knowledge and proficiency in the use of general and specialized laboratory techniques, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Prepare/dissect test samples.
• Prepare test reports and analytical presentations.
Test Technician - Materials & Analytical Lab Qualifications:
• Must have 1-3+ years of testing or laboratory experience.
• Minimum of a two-year associate degree in an engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience (Mechanical, Metallurgy, Materials).
• Understanding of material properties.
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks - make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently.
• Effectively works with others.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to work 40-45 hours per week.
