Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician (Environmental Simulation) whose primary responsibility is to support the environmental and dynamics laboratory testing operations by conducting the relevant testing activities.

This position will be based at the Newark, Ca location.

 

Pay: $28-40/hr

 

Responsibilities

  • Setup and Run Environmental and Vibration tests
  • Set components within test fixtures in Environmental simulation chambers in preparation for testing
  • Data collection/analyzing utilizing control systems, thermocouples and accelerators
  • Troubleshooting test set ups
  • Operate Thermal Chambers

Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience in environmental or dynamics or testing related to Element a plus
  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with relative coursework, projects or internship experience or related electrical or mechanical testing (material, environmental, dynamics/shock/vibe, climatic)
  • Must be able to operate hand/power tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills required; intermediate knowledge level of
  • Microsoft Excel is required
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
