Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Snubber Technician in our Huntsville, AL lab.  In this role, you will be responsible for performing tests and/or measurement tasks for the Nuclear Snubber department. Nuclear Snubber: Testing and rebuilding of snubber devices at nuclear power plants during outages. 

Please note, this is a casual role with irregular working hours and is expected to travel up to 100% of the time.

 

Responsibilities

• Removal and Reinstallation - Removes and reinstalls snubbers
• Perform Testing - Performs qualification, acceptance testing and RND testing for nuclear customers
• Maintenance - Maintains and rebuilds snubbers
• Under close supervision, able to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures including basic testing and maintenance on snubbers
• Some interaction with clients
• Able to assist with basic troubleshooting and basic interpretation and analysis of test results
• Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products
• Basic knowledge of Nuclear testing principles and basic safety practices; Basic understanding in developing processes and procedures, test reports for qualification and acceptance testing. Knowledge of Microsoft products
• Other - Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED. Technical Certification, AA or AS degree preferred
• 0-3 Years of Experience
