  • Overview

    Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager responsible for named accounts within a specific geographic area.  In this role you will be responsible for pursuing sales opportunities to sell Element's range of asbestos testing and surveying services in the UK. You will support strategic or key accounts within your specified territory with any activities needed at local sites.


    • Identifying, qualifying, targeting and engaging with new medium to large  accounts as well as actively selling through meetings with existing customers
    • Developing a Sales plan and owning sales budget for the territory
    • Taking ownership of all sales opportunities and quotations
    • Maintaining information held on CRM
    • Actively pursuing all new sales opportunities from Sales Professionals within the wider business
    • Maintaining the sales forecast with the relevant General Managers and Operations Managers
    • Developing, maintaining and owning account plans
    • Working with the Asbestos Bid Manager identifying tender opportunities and delivering quality tender responses
    • Working alongside peers in all Element sectors to identify opportunities to cross sell

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Significant sales experience within the environmental health and safety sector
    • Ability to discuss technical issues related to the industry at a professional level
    • Experience and working knowledge of the Asbestos market and associated testing requirements
    • Qualifications or technical experience within the Asbestos industry would be desirable.
    • An ambitious and driven individual who is motivated by success
    • You will work well under pressure and will have the ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
